CALCASA is proud to announce open registration for its second Volunteer Management Training Institute that will be held on February 1-2, 2010 in Pacifica, California. This training is targeting individuals who manage the volunteer programs of their local California Rape Crisis Centers.
There is space available for forty (40) participants of California Member Rape Crisis Centers. Individuals and or rape crisis centers that did not attend the original training in July 2009 in Burbank, California will have priority for the training in Pacifica, California.
This training will provide Volunteer Managers with the tools to assess the specific needs in their community regarding volunteerism and allow them to improve on their efforts in the recruitment, management, and retention of volunteers.
A limited number of stipends are available to cover approved travel reimbursement costs. In order to be eligible to receive the stipend, you must complete the Stipend Section of the online registration form. The registration and stipend application are available online and need to be completed by the January 6, 2010 deadline.
