CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
The CALCASA Winter TTI 2010 seeks to include a wide range of innovative work across the United States and territories relating to reducing domestic/dating violence, sexual assault and stalking/cyber stalking through practice, research and policy, and judicial/campus law enforcement procedures at colleges/universities. The institute will have an emphasis on law enforcement training.

Althea served as the Program Coordinator for 6 years at Tougaloo College for the first special initiative awarded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women, Project STOP NOW!, that worked with HBCU's. Ms. Hart holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Tougaloo College and a Master's of Science degree in Community Counseling from Jackson State University. Over the past seven years she has worked in various capacities countering violence against women such as volunteer for the Catholic Charities Rape Crisis Center and Sims Transitional Shelter for Women and Children; committee member of Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault Women of Color Caucus and the Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault SAC Taskforce. Presently, she is the Training and Resource Coordinator at the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CALCASA) Campus Program providing technical assistance to recipients of the Office on Violence Against Women Grant to Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking on Campus.
