CBS News: Rape in America

Last night, on the CBS EVENING NEWS Armen Keteyian discussed the “results of a 5 month CBS News investigation into the astounding number of rapes in the United States that go unpunished or even investigated.

Nearly 90,000 women reported they were raped in the “United States last year and it’s estimated another 75,000 rapes went unreported. However there were only about 22,000 rape arrests meaning there’s only a 25% arrest rate.”
