Governor Jerry Brown signs 2011-12 budget, includes $14b cuts

During a midday press conference, Governor Jerry Brown signed the 2011-12 State Budget as well as a dozen trailer bills that contain $11.2 billion in cuts to state services and programs. These cuts were laid out by the Governor in January and said to be necessary to close the state’s $26.4 billion deficit.
