California Supreme Court questions constitutionality of `Jessica’s Law’

SAN FRANCISCO – The California Supreme Court on Thursday questioned the constitutionality of a “Jessica’s Law” provision that allows indefinite confinement of sexually violent predators.

Most States Have Not Adopted Sex Offender Rules

The Associated Press reported yesterday that “more than three years after Congress ordered stepped-up monitoring of sex offenders, only one state has adopted the government’s strict new requirements, and some others are weighing whether to ignore the law and just pay a penalty.”
